As the Operations Manager at the catalyst plant in Elyria, Ohio, you have the responsibility of overseeing the plant's daily operations and production processes. This entails managing a team of employees, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing the plant's efficiency and productivity.

Supervising and coordinating the activities of production staff, including the Production Manager, Learning and Development Coordinator, Production Engineers, Gatekeeper, and Payroll.
Implementing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and managing inventory levels while coordinating with the supply chain to ensure availability of raw materials.
Optimizing plant operations to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall plant performance. Monitoring and analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the plant.
Monitoring and managing Operations budgets and expenses to ensure financial targets are met.
Contributing as a member of the Elyria Leadership Team by helping develop KPIs, planning for capital investments, collaborating with functions outside the site, and driving productivity.
If you have...
A Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a chemical plant or similar manufacturing environment for 10+ years.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
In-depth knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and implementing process improvements.
Ability to thrive under pressure and make prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient understanding of financial management and budgeting principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to effectively engage with employees, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
