Commercial Banking Sales Assistant

Job Description:

Summary

Works as a team with other administrative staff to support activities for the Market President and Commercial Banking Team. This position will also be responsible for assisting Sales Team Members with new client prospecting by collecting and organizing leads and targets with Relationship Managers on the team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service for incoming telephone calls and clients coming into the bank

  • Schedule and organize meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for the Market President & the Commercial team.

  • Processing and approving expense reports for the Market President and other team members, including collecting receipts and itemizing expenses.

  • Processing and approving vacation requests and other tasks within Workday.

  • Perform duties such as maintaining Salesforce data, financial record keeping, ordering supplies, and working on special projects.

  • Act as project manager for special projects, which may include: organizing client events, planning and coordinating agendas and presentations, disseminating information and coordinating direct mailings

  • Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.

  • Handle confidential and non-routine information, including answering correspondence and assembling highly confidential and sensitive information; explain policies when necessary.

  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommend change in office practices or procedures.

  • Sort and distribute mail, draft written responses or replies by phone or email when necessary.

  • Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including IT, Facilities and HR.

  • Review and act on new account requests, including all new account documentation.

  • Review and act on new treasury management requests.

  • Collecting and storing critical client data.

  • Assist with organizing and maintaining key client data in the bank's CRM system.

  • Participate in required training courses related to the job.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize; handle multiple tasks; and work independently

  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong math and problem solving skills

  • Must maintain confidentiality of client transactions and bank records

  • Good phone voice with professional and well-groomed appearance

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as, computer workstations, calculators, and copier

  • Thorough knowledge of bank operations, products and services offered at the bank

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Education and/or Experience

  • Three - five years of related experience; Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training.

Computer and Software Skills

  • Skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Office

  • Bankway

  • Salesforce

  • Google Mail, Calendar, and Drive

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

  • None

COMPENSATION

Hourly Range: $32.42 - $43.76 per hour. Amount is based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.
