In this role you will:
Respond to supplier quality issues identified at receiving inspection, on the manufacturing floor, and in the field
Build relationships with the supply base in order to communicate issues and coordinate resolutions efficiently and effectively
Facilitate root cause corrective action investigations to address systemic supplier quality issues
Analyze supplier data and defect trends to identify areas of improvement and risk mitigation opportunities
Participate in supplier audits/assessments
Review First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports to confirm material compliance
Collaborate with commodity managers, buyers, design engineers, and product line quality engineers to drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements in the supply base
Maintain compliance to established procurement and quality systems
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format , with time split between working onsite, traveling domestically and internationally to supplier sites, and working remotely.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typically a Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, terms & conditions, and quality standards
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Motivated team player with a positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change with ease
Strong problem solving skills and drive for continuous improvement
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Engineering Degree or strong technical aptitude
2 years of experience in a quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, or supply chain role
Proficiency in Oracle ERP
Understanding of AS9100 or similar quality system
Awareness of AS9145 or APQP/PPAP
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64106 - $108992
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
