DUTIES: Write and edit automated test code that allows for repeatable, reliable testing solutions to test the wide functionality of products and software, in accordance with specifications and technical requirements, using JavaScript; test production system performance using JMeter; monitor and enhance performance of HLS and MPEG-DASH video streaming; use GitHub for source control; monitor and enhance network performance of IPTV Domain; implement, test, and automate advanced IP video technologies using Python and GoLang; manage Unix servers; identify and create advanced application monitoring using Splunk; design containers using Docker and Kubernetes; use Appium and Selenium for test automation; analyze metrics and data trends using Prometheus; use Influx DB, MySQL, MemSQL, and MongoDB databases; graph data sets and trends using Grafana; use Java for test automation; work with CI/CD tools including Concourse and Jenkins; apply design patterns; track, monitor, and report on defects using Jira; use Helm charts to manage Kubernetes applications; identify and create monitoring dashboards using Elastic Search; use Apache httpd; use CableLabs ESAM and ESNI; perform dynamic ad insertion using SCTE standards, including SCTE 35, SCTE 130, and VAST; maintain the automation codebase in a version control system, including GIT or SVN; execute automated test scripts and evaluate results; analyze broken test cases and diagnose and repair to working order; identify viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality; create automated testing documentation, including test plans and test summary reports; and validate product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience writing and editing automated test code using JavaScript; testing production system performance using JMeter; monitoring and enhancing performance of HLS and MPEG-DASH video streaming; using GitHub for source control; monitoring and enhancing network performance of IPTV Domain; and of which one (1) year of experience includes implementing, testing, and automating advanced IP video technologies using Python and GoLang; managing Unix servers; identifying and creating advanced application monitoring using Splunk; designing containers using Docker and Kubernetes; using Appium or Selenium for test automation; analyzing metrics and data trends using Prometheus; using Influx DB, MySQL, MemSQL, and MongoDB databases; graphing data sets and trends using Grafana; using Java for test automation; working with CI/CD tools including Concourse and Jenkins; applying design patterns; tracking, monitoring, and reporting on defects using Jira; using Helm charts; identifying and creating monitoring dashboards using Elastic Search; using Apache httpd; using CableLabs ESAM and ESNI; and performing dynamic ad insertion using SCTE standards, including SCTE 35, SCTE 130, and VAST.

SALARY: $72,259 to $140,000 per year

Base Pay: $72,259.00
