The Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE) and Sustainability Manager is responsible for leading the SHE and Sustainability programs at the site to ensure compliance to all governmental (local, state, federal) regulations, and conformance to applicable Management Systems and Henkel Standards. The position will interact daily with various facility employees as it pertains to, SHE and Sustainability programs and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to SHE and Sustainability performance of the site.

YOUR ROLE

  • Support the implementation of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) and management systems to ensure environmental regulatory compliance.

  • Maintains current knowledge of all applicable Safety, Health, Environmental, and Sustainability standards, as required, and performs necessary reporting to various agencies

  • Performs, coordinates or participates in internal and external SHE assessments (i.e. PHAs, JSAs, Ergonomic Assessments, ISO, PSM)

  • Manage compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Performs SHE and Sustainability inspections as required.

  • Responsible for Sites Compliance Calendar ensuring programs, training, emergency drills and various activities are completed.

  • Responsible for Process Safety Management and Culture Based Safety programs and initiatives

  • Translate global and regional Sustainability targets into site programs and goals

  • Supervises and updates proper control over the collection, identification, segregation, transportation, recovery, and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

  • Development of engineering procedures for the minimization of these wastes to comply with applicable SHE rules and regulations.

YOUR SKILLS

  • BA/BS degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering or another related field

  • 5 years of related SHE and/or Sustainability experience in a manufacturing environment required

  • Strong chemical background is preferred

  • Experience with air permitting and OSHA reports preferred

  • Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)

  • Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001

The salary for this role is $80,000.00 - $110,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
