Aerotek Production Foreman in Ephrata, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Production Foreman

Job Description:

Trains and supervises production employees; sets work schedules and jobs to meet construction deadlines; performs quality assurance, inspections, and ensures workmanship conforms to project specifications. Leads the production team in safety, innovation, and efficiency as the expert in manufacturing. This is a safety-sensitive position involving the use of power tools and equipment.

• Lead and promote a culture focused on safety

• Train and supervise all Production crews

• Organize materials and labor to promote efficient and quality work

• Adapt and adjust as necessary to meet production requirements

• Implement Quality Control for all production processes

• Effectively communicate with Production team and management

• Accurately maintain daily and long-term documentation

• Professionally interact with vendors, customers, and service providers

• Lead and promote a positive work environment focused on Company and individual growth/advancement

• Operate and maintain all plant equipment, machinery, hand, and power tools

• Recommend process improvements and cost-saving opportunities

• Strategic planning for current and future operational goals and needs

Hard Skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment

  • Ability to read tape measure to a 16th of an inch

  • Precast or formed/poured in place concrete and/or carpentry experience

  • Operating and maintaining all plant equipment, machinery, hand, and power tools

Work Environment

Heavy manufacturing environment, pouring precast concrete panels. Fairly clean and neat but can be dirty and involve heavy lifting up to 60 pounds. Repetitive raking or floating concrete panels will be part of this position. Can be hot in summer and cool in winter. Building is not climate controlled. Small, family-owned environment. Opportunity to cross-train and learn multiple areas and build a variety of skill sets. 3rd shift hours 12 midnight start time to 9 or 10+ AM (not a set finish time, depends on the workload).
