The purpose of the Marketing department at BD is to drive balanced profitable growth by defining, executing and continually improving the global marketing and business strategies of BD. We engage in critical thinking to advise high-quality marketing choices that drive our growth.

About the role

The Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) & Market Access (MA) Manager is a pivotal figure responsible for crafting and executing the HEOR and Market Access strategy, emphasizing the value of BD solutions across the EMEA region and Benelux. This role demands a dynamic individual with a blend of strategic insight and operational prowess.

They will work 50% in a regional EMEA HEOR role and 50% supporting Benelux HEOR and Market Access priorities. They will partner with decision-makers and payers to understand their evidence needs while working closely with and across BD business units and strategic marketing to support their value propositions and drive the adoption of our solutions in the market.

This position involves a significant level of autonomy and requires a daring individual who is willing and able to be highly involved in both strategic and operational level

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Craft and implement EMEA and Benelux HEOR strategy, identifying and addressing unmet evidence needs to improve value propositions.

  • Collaborate with marketing and medical affairs to develop compelling value propositions based on scientific and health economic evidence.

  • Drive health economic value propositions, evidence generation and market access initiatives.

  • Identify Real-World Evidence (RWE) opportunities with customers and internal collaborators.

  • Support value-based partnerships in strategic accounts and contribute to regional and local education on Value-based Healthcare (VBHC) and HEOR tools.

  • Lead Benelux Market Access strategy, driving reimbursement and market-shaping activities.

  • Participate in customer-facing meetings as a subject matter authority, chipping in to value-based agreements/pilots.

  • Represent BD externally in international and local HEOR/Market Access/VBHC engagements.

About you

  • Master's degree in a related field.

  • Confirmed experience in health economics, outcomes research, and/or customer-facing value demonstration roles in the medical device or related industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of regional healthcare systems, policy, reimbursement, and decision-making processes, with a focus on the Belgian/Dutch healthcare system.

  • Experience working with key opinion leaders, medical societies, payers, and HTA organizations.

  • Proficient in health economic and budget impact models.

  • Strong influencing skills, networking capabilities, and proactive approach.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.

  • Strategic commercial attitude with proficiency in English and Dutch; French is a plus.
