Responsibilities:
Check schedules and organize patient flow to ensure a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic.
Accompany patients to exam or procedure rooms, providing assistance as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, and specimen collection.
Collect patient information and history, take vital signs, and perform screenings according to provider guidelines, relaying instructions to patients and their families.
Send and receive patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations, ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
Prepare patient rooms and set up instruments and equipment according to department protocols, while also cleaning between patient visits to uphold infection control standards.
Manage the inventory of supplies by restocking exam and procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.
Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs, assisting physicians with procedures and documenting patient information accurately in the medical record.
Answer calls, provide relevant information, and assist with patient education as directed, while also scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage and demographics.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
