NOW HIRING Janitorial Workers for a Hospital in Escondido!
Location - Escondido, CA
Shift - 1st and 2nd Shifts Available (7AM - 3:30PM OR 3:00PM - 11:30PM) weekend work required!
Pay Rate - $19 - 20/HR depending on shift
Job Description -
This position involves comprehensive cleaning duties within a hospital setting.
Tasks include cleaning patient rooms, administrative offices, and hallways, with responsibilities such as taking out trash, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting various areas.
Other tasks include removing and replacing dirty linens, handling biohazardous waste, stocking cleaning supplies, and maintaining the supply closet.
The role may also involve cleaning up organic waste materials typically found in a hospital.
Adherence to PPE guidelines is mandatory, and interaction with patients, visitors, and staff is a regular part of the job.
Qualifications -
Janitorial/Housekeeping experience and skills
Okay working in a hospital environment
Work Environment
The work environment is a modern, level 1 trauma center hospital with around 300-400 patients a day across 9 floors in the main building and 3 additional buildings.
It's a fast-paced setting with a high volume of patients, staff, and visitors, requiring a quick turnaround of cleaning tasks.
The role may involve cleaning around 80 rooms in a given shift. The job includes weekend and holiday shifts.
Due to the nature of the environment, individuals must be comfortable with exposure to potentially disturbing situations and have a resilient mindset.
