Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 9, the world leader in RF semiconductor manufacturing in Essex Junction, VT, is seeking a Factory Systems Engineer. The individual selected for this position will collaborate with other members of the Factory Systems department and will help manage the route build process which includes defining, optimizing, and automating the route build, and product release set up processes. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. This position will partner closely with other GlobalFoundries organizations, teams and other GlobalFoundries sites to capture best-known methods. This position requires an individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.

This would be a Mon - Friday daytime schedule, fully on site at our Fab 9 - Essex Junction, VT location, and may require covering occasional nights, and weekends, to support the 24x7 manufacturing operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Update/Create Engineering routes, lot logistics, creating new product, review route change requests.
  • Configure factory systems items such as user accounts, factory manufacturing, equipment, recipes, technologies, products, process definitions, steps, module definitions, main routes, engineering experiments, reticles
  • Oversee and support product set up business process and drive efficiencies
  • Build relationships with internal partners, such as Operations, Manufacturing Systems, Technology Development, Supply Chain, and Finance, as appropriate
  • Support of Fab MES including configuration set up and maintenance
  • Driving cost reductions through optimization of the processing route set up
  • Define optimal routings for manufacturing technology, engineering and technology development.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or B.S. with 0-4 years of relevant experience in Computer, or Software.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work well within a global team
  • Organized with a high attention to detail and on-time delivery of work assigned
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Flexible in workdays and timings with shifts ranging from early mornings, late evenings, nights and weekends depending upon the Fab requirements
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operational support in production environment
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing preferably in semiconductors/ electronics industry is desired
  • Experience with Semiconductor Manufacturing MES- View Product suite preferred
  • Good understanding of basic concepts in Physics, Electronics and preferably Semiconductor processing and technology
  • Data mining and simulation in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with MES and external software compatibilities
  • Basic knowledge of Statistics and SPC methodologies.

Expected Salary Range

\$52,500.00 - \$107,000.00

The exact Salar will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
