The Hertz Corporation Platform Administrator - Palantir in Estero, Florida

A Day in the Life:

The Palantir Platform Administrator position will play a significant role to on the Data and Analytics team. We’re currently searching for experienced Palantir Platform Administrators to help our internal customers utilize advanced applications to help drive our business forward. From researching issues and implementing process improvements to evaluating root causes and their impact, our ideal candidate is a detailed planner, expert communicator, and a top-notch analyst. We are seeking candidates who are excited about helping people work through rapid change, who have the ability to think in an agile fashion, and who are dedicated to seeing a problem through, from its inception to resolution. They should be wholly committed to understanding underlying issues and help in the development of innovative solutions in an ever-changing digital landscape.

What You'll Do:

  • Supporting the team with platform related assessments

  • Support and trouble shoot platform access issues.

  • Resolving tickets in Service Desk for support requests

  • User management, including onboarding, roles and permissions, and troubleshooting.

  • Create technical articles based on solutions for customers.

  • Assist management in periodically reviewing and optimizing processes related to the platform.

  • Responsible for the creation and configuration of Data Connection agents and for sharing them with relevant data source owners.

  • Should own the centralized control of agent installation and configuration that creates enhanced security and control within the Foundry Program

  • Should work closely with Palantir teams to identify issues upstream and build business and Foundry context ahead of taking more ownership.

  • Should create and manage custom configurations to ensure they are in line with company expectations or protocols. These may include Spark profiles, YARN configurations, and changes to Foundry applications.

  • Establish IT policies and systems in accordance with Program strategies and goals.

  • Monitor, review, and enforce any upgrade or configuration changes across the platform, and communicate any changes required across workstreams.

  • Work with the Head of Platform to establish cost monitoring and reporting to ensure Foundry costs are transparent and managed.

  • Own data connections between Foundry and source systems, ensuring that all connections are clean, reliable, and compliant.

  • Monitor data quality and health, including metadata management. Design and implement monitoring systems across all pipelines and own the reporting and remediation of those systems.

  • Partner with Developers in pipeline design to implement groups and roles in project permissions, both in the design of new projects and in the ongoing growth and maintenance of existing projects.

  • Manage Ontology development and permissions, including the definition of Ontology standards; create data models in the Ontology that reflect organizational priorities and structures and deeply connect with the reality of operations and requirements.

  • Focus on making data usable by users, in compliance with internal and external data quality standards and SLAs.

  • Build monitoring and metrics around data governance processes and own the continuous reporting and adjustment of these systems.

  • Interface with Palantir teams for support services delivery; leverage Palantir's resources, including documentation, advisory teams, and support services.

What We're Looking For:

  • Understand Role Based Access Requests (RBAC) and how they are implemented in organizations.

  • Sound understanding of Foundry architecture.

  • Experience in trouble shooting access requests.

  • Experience in analyzing data to determine root cause.

  • Excellent communication skills in English - both written and verbal

  • Strong individual contributor with an IT background

  • Knowledge of data governance best practices

  • Strong technical communicator

  • Understanding of both business workflows and technical structures and concepts within Foundry

  • 3+ Years of Experience with Palantir Foundry, Databricks or AWS security policies (Strongly preferred)

  • 3+ Years Experience with SQL, Python (strongly preferred)

  • Familiarity with agents / VMs / connecting systems.

  • Knowledge of data cleaning and quality best practices

  • Knowledge of version control & audit best practices

  • Familiarity with organization-wide data access permissions, regulations, and authentication systems (Okta and Active Directory, for example)

We expect the starting salary to be around $110,000 to $130,000 with annual bonus and profit sharing eligibility. The actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience
