Department Summary

The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. Position Summary

The Assistant Director for Marketing, Community Outreach & Student Engagement exercises independent, professional judgment beyond proscribed routine policies and procedures to carry out their responsibilities for the development, coordination, and implementation of marketing initiatives to increase community and student attendance along with engagement at all UO athletic events. This position will oversee the recruitment and management of the Pit Crew Student Organization and Junior Duck Club kids’ program.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• Two years of experience working in the areas of marketing or community relations.

• Entrepreneurial, communicative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Solid administrative skills and the ability to motivate staff and volunteers to achieve department goals.

• Ability to strategize, prioritize, and multi-task to meet goals and deadlines.

• High motivation with a capacity for hard work within the context of an intensely goal-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within college athletics.

• Working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator.

• Candidates with experience serving the needs of diverse populations are strongly desired.

• Knowledge of Eugene and the surrounding community or the University of Oregon campus.
