PeaceHealth is seeking a BH Clinician Licensed for a Part Time, 0.70 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $40.22 – $66.37. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.
As a part of the strategic plan, PeaceHealth is striving to integrate Behavioral Health Clinicians (BHCs) into all of the primary care clinics. This includes the family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatric clinics in Eugene, Springfield, Florence, and Cottage Grove, which are in the Willamette Valley and Central Coast of Oregon. The BHC will be a fully integrated member of the medical team providing evidence-based interventions to optimize population health. Job Summary
Coordinates and oversees the plan of care and service delivery of behavioral health consumers across the continuum of illness; promotes effective utilization and monitoring of health care resources; and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Provide services to consumers with commercial insurance and Medicaid and Medicare.
Details of the position
Provides individual, family, group, and multi-family group therapy to patients with complex diagnostic presentations and treatment needs.
Provides clinical leadership to team of masters’ and bachelors’ level clinicians and students interns.
Assesses, develops, implements, and monitors a comprehensive plan of care through an interdisciplinary team process in conjunction with the patient and their self-identified natural supports.
Evaluates and provides interventions to improve a patient’s cognitive, social, vocational, spiritual, and emotional functioning, utilizing natural and community supports when possible.
Provides urgent/crisis evaluations, interventions, and safety planning.
Together with consumer and natural supports, identifies key problems, strengths and resources to be addressed in the treatment plan.
May provide case management, coordination with other treatment agencies or outside support services, outreach, and engagement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you bring
Masters’ degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
License in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family or related field
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at date of hire.
Department / Location Specific Notes
Operates as an essential part of the primary care team providing direct intervention to patients and consultation to the medical team regarding behavioral and psychosocial aspects of health.
Available for same-day and scheduled visits referred by the medical providers.
Performs brief, limited follow-up visits for selected patients.
Participates in regularly scheduled consultation with the collaborating psychiatrist and communicates resulting treatment recommendations to the patient’s medical provider.
For identified subpopulations, systematically tracks treatment response in a registry.
Experience in a medical healthcare setting preferred.
