Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Eugene, Oregon. This role involves a range of tasks within the non-profit sector, with a focus on finance and accounting duties.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the process of account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR), including the posting of donations.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Carry out bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Conduct data entry tasks as required.
• Use Microsoft Excel for various accounting and financial tasks.
• Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure all financial data is accounted for.
• Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and accounting tasks.
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the financial record-keeping process.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including processing invoices and overseeing outgoing payments.
• Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR), including tracking incoming payments and resolving any discrepancies.
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations, ensuring company records match those of the bank.
• Strong Bookkeeping skills, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
• Efficient in Data Entry, entering financial transactions into appropriate software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data has been recorded and reconciled for the month.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, using this software for various accounting tasks.
• Ability to record Journal Entries, documenting financial transactions in the company's ledger.
