Insight Global Senior Environmental Project Scientist/Engineer in Eugene, Oregon

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager/Scientist for one of our environmental consulting clients. This individual will assist or lead on a variety of field work efforts, environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance projects in Eugene, OR. In addition, they will be responsible for collection and management of environmental samples, calibration, and maintenance of a variety of multi-media monitoring and sampling equipment, documentation of field activities and preparation of daily reports for EPA client. They will use OSHA Level D-A PPE to make entries into potentially hazardous areas.

Work will include planning and execution of multi-media sampling, field audits and inspections, organizing and reviewing data, preparing reports, file reviews, collection of air monitoring data, subcontractor procurement/oversight, and related services. Candidates with proficiency in GIS, data, and database management preferred.

Skills and Requirements

* BS degree in environmental or related discipline

* 10-20+ years of environmental consulting experience and/or HazMat response

10-20 years experience with:

* Emergency response

* Remedial design

* Hazardous waste

* Site investigations and site remediation

* Field sampling, air quality, and ecological restoration

* Highly customer focused (great verbal and written communication)

* Experience with air and water monitoring instrumentation.

* Able to lift 50 lbs (field equipment, PEC, ect.) * Environmental due diligence (phase I and phase II guidance) experience

* 40-hour HAZWOPER

* Project Management experience

* FEMA ICS-100 and 200

* EPA projects

* PADEP projects

* ICS training and experience is a plus null
