Actalent Commissioning Engineer in Evanston, Illinois
Description:
Oversee preparation of construction checklists, test procedures and commissioning sections of specifications
Survey existing buildings' MEP systems
Review shop drawings and material samples
Create field observation reports and commissioning issue logs
Conduct field reports to determine design and documentation is compliant with owner's requirements
Meet and coordinate with clients/owners, vendors, and internal engineering team
Participates in development of standard technical procedures and master documents
Review Submittals and RFI's
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor or Associate's degree in MEP Engineering
10+ years of experience working with building systems, preferably HVAC systems
This does NOT include internship experience
Working knowledge of temperature controls
PE preferred
Must have 3-5 years of commissioning experience
Knowledge with AEC codes, standards, materials, details, and construction techniques
Knowledge of EJCDC General Conditions, Contracts, Supplemental General Conditions
Experience working on site and coordinating with clients and design engineers
Experience using field testing tools
Must be local- Hybrid position
Must have valid, permanent work authorization
