This Engineering position is for the Mechanical System Design Team for a Military New Product Introduction (NPI) Program. In this position, you will contribute to the design, manufacture and delivery of hardware used in the next generation large military aircraft jet engines. You will be required to push the boundaries of what is possible with the latest technologies and materials developed at GE Aerospace.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute the design and analysis of various Mechanical Systems hardware by applying engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements with guidance from experienced teammates and technical experts.

  • Execute design, analysis or test experience with Mechanical Systems hardware or systems which may include bearings, gears, seals, shafts, structural housings, oil systems or air systems.

  • Gain experience in test rig design and execution for various Mechanical Systems hardware.

  • Stay current with the latest technical developments and internal processes.

  • Provide timely communication if significant challenges arise and collaborate with colleagues to develop action plans to resolve those challenges.

  • Prepare and present technical data along with recommendations or conclusions to internal and external customer audiences.

  • Properly document technical data generated and presented.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university.

  • Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.

Desired Characteristics

  • Active US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
