GE Aerospace Senior Analyst, Internal Audit Operations in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Senior Analyst role will assist in executing the strategic vision of the GE Aerospace Internal Audit and SOX organization. The role will assist with process standardization, quality assessments, and training. Additionally, the role will assist with driving continuous improvement in the department through tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), as well as being the department’s AuditBoard specialist.

This role will report to the GE Aerospace Senior Manager, Internal Audit - Operations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance operational processes through:

  • Implementing necessary enhancements to the internal audit methodology, policies, and IA standards.

  • Implementing the Quality Assurance function for all department engagements.

  • Work closely with the Audit Operations Senior Manager to ensure audit operations align with GE Aerospace’s operating framework (FLIGHT DECK) by:

  • Gathering organizational reporting in relation to internal Key Performance Indicators and Monthly Operating Reviews to measure the team’s performance.

  • Maintaining internal dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators and audit project status.

  • Manage the optimization of AuditBoard by continuously improving workflows, dashboards, and reporting functionalities by:

  • Developing standard work and training team members on the effective use of AuditBoard, ensuring consistent adoption of new features and functionalities.

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process automation and integration within AuditBoard .

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (Accounting, Finance, "STEM" Majors or Business Administration preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in external or internal audit; minimum of 1 year experience with Lean/Six Sigma.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong technical internal audit skills, including IT audit and/or financial/operational audit skills and knowledge of SOX 404 requirements.

  • Strong project management skills and/or track record of leading an audit project.

  • Capable of working with a team in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

  • Excellent listening, verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

  • Complex problem solving and analytical skills; ability to quickly identify challenges.

  • Steps forward to address difficult issues and guides others toward the accomplishment of identified, meaningful goals.

  • Confidence to clearly articulate creative, practical solutions, even when dealing with a high degree of ambiguity.

  • Working conditions: Is open to travel depending on the current state of affairs.
