Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Electrician with extensive experience in electrical trade mathematics and the use of electronic measuring devices. This role is crucial to the success of Naval Station Everett, ensuring the efficient and accurate installation of electrical systems on USS Navy Destroyers.
Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and apply drawings and specifications to determine installation requirements.
Utilize electrical trade mathematics and formulas to calculate voltage, amperes, and resistance requirements.
Determine appropriate size and type of materials such as controls, switches, distribution panels, fuses, cables, and conduit size.
Proficiently use electronic measuring devices including voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
Adhere to all safety regulations, ensuring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
Perform work in a shipyard environment, both outdoors and in the shop, as well as on the ships.
Hard Skills
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
Electrical trade mathematics and formulas.
Using electronic measuring devices (voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters).
