Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level (Level 3) or Expert (Level 4) Systems Integration Engineer to join our 787 Systems Integration team located in Everett, WA .

The candidate will work with a dynamic and diverse Systems Integration team that supports the design, configuration, production, certification, and delivery of 787s. The Systems Integration team supports large-scale multi-system projects from concept to integrated testing, certification, production incorporation, and delivery.

The 787 program is undertaking several significant improvements, including new features and capabilities to enhance this already highly capable airplane. Additionally, the Systems Integration team supports the entire 787 fleet in service, leading resolution to fleet and safety issues, customer commitments, and overall airplane system product strategy.

This opportunity will give the engineer a detailed exposure to the core systems components at the heart of the 787, learning about systems interfaces, airplane-level thinking, change management, and project management.

Successful candidates will desire to work in a fast-paced environment, solve complex problems, present information to executive leadership, and build and execute integrated project plans.

A Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level (Level 3) and Expert (Level 4) Engineers.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Supports cross-functional teams through the development and integration of large-scale multi-system projects.

  • May work with multiple airplane systems, including Environmental Controls Systems, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design and Standards, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, Network Systems, Avionics Systems, and Cyber Security and will lead these teams through a variety of complex projects.

  • Collaborate with airplane safety, regulatory administration, and 787 program teams such as production engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and delivery centers.

  • Implements systems engineering best practices and process improvements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse engineering team to synthesize complex information and provide project recommendations to executive management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education & Experience :

Mid-Level : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Expert : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $104,550 - $141,450

Summary pay range Expert: $128,350- $173,650
