Duties Summary Skilled individual who performs a wide variety of skilled carpentry work in the construction, alteration and repair of homes, buildings, and facilities. Trained and competent in the proper and safe operation of equipment and tools required to be used on a construction project. May lead job site crews to facilitate the completion of project safely, and at a high quality of workmanship. Pay depends on experience ($35-$45).
Minimum Qualification Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Completed apprenticeship or experience equivalent. Able to lift a load weighing up to 100 pounds. Able to stand, climb, and/or bend for many hours. Problem-solving skills to modify building materials and make adjustments onsite to complete projects. Ability to communicate effectively, as carpenters often work as part of a team to complete a project. Be able to clear a background check to obtain necessary passes and badges to gain access to government and private sector facilities. Possess a valid driver's license and have personal means of transportation. Provide own hand tools and select power tools.
