SERV Behavioral Health System Recruiter in Ewing, New Jersey

Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter is responsible for ensuring vacant positions are filled by qualified candidates in an efficient manner, and for ensuring a positive candidate experience.   The Recruiter will attract, interview, make offers of employment and screen candidates, as well as assist with onboarding of new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Performs full-cycle recruiting; cultivates a robust candidate pipeline and reaches out to talented individuals to meet organizational needs;

  • Is visible and active on social media, attends career fairs, makes cold calls, visits college campuses and seeks out creative ways to reach qualified potential employees;

  • Reviews applications for employment and identifies candidates whose experience and qualifications meet the requirements for vacant positions at assigned program sites;

  • Conducts telephone screenings or virtual interviews of identified candidates to confirm interest and a good “fit” for the opportunity;

  • Schedules candidates for interviews with hiring managers; updates candidates’ status in the applicant tracking system;

  • Sends offer letters, initiates background checks, conducts thorough screening to ensure all requirements for employment are met; facilitates onboarding and organizes file documents

  • Communicates with hiring managers on candidates’ status;  generates and distributes status reports as appropriate or as requested;

  • Additional duties as assigned or as needed to support departmental or organizational goals

    Qualifications & Skills

  • Enthusiasm, initiative and a strong sense of urgency;

  • Ability to perform all steps of a complex screening and hiring process which may include communicating offers, collecting and analyzing documentation, facilitating background checks and pre-employment physicals, and supporting the candidate through the onboarding process;

  • Knowledge of interview techniques and ability to assess qualifications and competencies against position requirements;

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include long hours, evenings and weekends

  • Proficiency with social media platforms

  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel including frequent local travel

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under minimum supervision with close attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills, including the ability to represent the organization to candidates in a compelling and positive light

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking systems

  • Ability to reach, bend and lift up to 15 pounds

  • A passion for mission-driven work is highly desirable

    Required Licenses or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university; or HS Diploma or GED equivalent and 2 years experience in recruiting, human resources, sales or high-volume customer service

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems

  • Valid drivers license in the state of residence

  • Fully Onsite Position in Ewing and we are moving to Hamilton NJ late 2024
