Howmet Aerospace HR Coordinator in Exeter, United Kingdom

We are looking for a HR and Recruitment Assistant to join our small, friendly, and busy HR team.
This role underpins and provides support to the HR function in delivering an effective and positive service to employees and managers at our Exeter plant throughout the end-to-end employee lifecycle. In this role you will undertake general administrative duties and assist with various HR related matters.
Duties of the HR and Recruitment Coordinator
To act as the first point of contact for visitors to the HR department, directing queries as appropriate to the relevant team member and effectively trouble shooting where possible
Manage the HR mailbox triaging queries.
Provide administrative support for the end-to-end recruitment process for permanent appointments.
Manage the recruitment of temporary workers liaising with agencies and hiring managers, organising pre-employment medicals and inductions.
Administration of new starters including right to work checks, onboarding forms and inductions.
Process all employee changes:
Drafting all contracts and variation to contract letters
Maintaining employee records
Processing employee performance reviews
Coordinating annual training
Updating payroll as required
Processing leavers
Coordinate the processes in relation to sickness absence, family leave requests and ensure that associated payroll processes are completed.
Collating and preparing document packs to support the HR Advisers with casework.
Preparing weekly and monthly reports on headcount
Maintain and update the divisional organisational charts and reports on joiners, leavers etc. and general HR support in all areas of HR.
Skills and experience
CIPD Level 3 or equivalent relevant experience
Professional, approachable, and consistent
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
Process driven with an aptitude for complex processes
Excellent IT systems skills
Exceptional communication skills, applying diplomacy where needed
Sensitivity to general HR situations
Ability to act on own initiative, but also to know when to seek advice
Ability to interact with varying levels of employees and manager and adapt style accordingly
