Position Title: Lead Test Automation Engineer.  

Work Location: West Chester, PA Area (Hybrid) -- Tuesdays and Wednesday onsite  

Contract Length: Contract to Hire - W2 Only  

Summary: As a Lead Test Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality assurance landscape of our organization. This position demands a balance of deep technical expertise and strong leadership skills, aimed at driving quality and testing initiatives for complex, high-impact IT projects. You will be responsible for spearheading the quality assurance strategy, aligning it with technological advancements and compliance requirements, and ensuring its seamless integration within the organization's IT framework. Your role will be instrumental in advancing our automation roadmap to enhance testing efficiency and project delivery timelines.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage quality assurance and testing efforts across various business lines and IT platforms, serving as the primary point of contact for all QA-related activities.
  • Mentor and coach junior QA analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
  • Oversee and coordinate with offshore testing teams, ensuring quality standards and project timelines are met.
  • Innovate and improve QA and testing processes, including environmental assessments and requirements translation, to resolve complex challenges.
  • Define, review, and manage QA scopes and objectives for system and project levels, adhering to established quality assurance and testing standards.
  • Provide expert-level consulting to IT and business groups, guiding them on QA and testing best practices and deliverables.
  • Promote the use of common tools and automation, enhancing QA efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to all organizational and IT policies and procedures related to software development and project management.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business systems, technology trends, compliance, and risk factors, aligning them with both current and future QA needs.
  • Execute other responsibilities as needed, maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving organizational goals.  

Required Skills:

  • Over 6 years of professional IT experience, with a strong emphasis on QA/testing.
  • Expertise in test automation and strategy formulation for large-scale projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting complex QA strategies to diverse audiences.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and scope analysis.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities and working autonomously.
  • Proven ability in enhancing IT team efficiency and setting high standards in problem-solving.
  • Experience in both Waterfall and Agile SDLCs.
  • Competent in conducting defect triage and managing resolution processes.
  • Experience in orchestrating UAT with business users and software vendors. Strong SQL and Python scripting skills.
  • Experience in AWS or Azure cloud testing environments.
  • Proficiency in Quality Assurance tools like Test Complete and Selenium.
  • Knowledge of Behavior Driven Testing frameworks is a plus.
  • Background in Insurance, Annuity, or other Financial Services industries is beneficial.    

Education:  Bachelor's Degree, equivalent or higher in a directly related field.  

Work Hours and Schedule: Normal Business Hours
