You will explore computer vision use-cases, develop systems and applications in our next generation digital factory, and develop embedded software for medical devices.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalentMinimum 5 years related work experiencePython SkillsMinimum 3 years as a professional programmer in at least one of C, C++, Erlang/Elixir, golangUnderstanding of imaging basicsPossess a strong level of curiosity, interest, desire, and eagerness to learn new technologies quicklyPossess deep understanding of the complete product cycle of embedded software/firmware developmentCreate prototype hardware and software solutions that explore innovative ideasUtilize knowledge and experience to devise hardware integration test proceduresWrite well-designed, self-documented, testable, performant, secure, and efficient codeResearch and implement emerging technologies to create competitive advantageWork with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate to technical designsContribute to the continued improvement of standards and processesParticipate in daily standup meetingsParticipate in code reviewsOther duties as assignedPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:In depth experience with agile development practices such as DevOpsIn depth experience with object-oriented design and programmingIn depth experience in development concepts such as multi-threading and concurrencyEmbedded C experience is a plusExperience with OpenCV or equivalent computer vision libraryExperience programming for NVIDIA Jetson, Google Coral, or similarFamiliarity with Machine Learning is a plusTravel Requirements:5% travel, including globalPhysical and Mental Job RequirementsAbility to make independent and sound judgments.Use written and oral communication skillsRead and interpret data, information and documentsAnalyze and solve problemsWest is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
