Department Summary:

The Technical Intelligence Department delivers impactful engineering analyses to rapidly transform current and future warfighter operations in contested and denied environments. We accomplish this through close interaction with our United States Air Force (USAF), United States Space Force (USSF), and other sponsors as well as with senior leadership in the Intelligence, Acquisition, and Warfighting communities. Our engineering analysis is informed by intelligence assessments of both adversarial kill chains and analysis of threats to US kill chains. We conduct engineering assessments of advanced and evolving threats, perform end-to-end effects chain analysis, develop digital engineering architectures for Intelligence applications, identify potential threat mitigation options, and perform experimentation of threat mitigation capabilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Contribute Impactfully to our Sponsors:

  • Lead and manage complex engineering projects focused on transforming warfighter operations in contested and denied environments

  • Develop and implement digital engineering architectures for Research and Development (R&D) and warfighter applications.

  • Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to inform project development and execution

  • Develop tailored, engineering-level Intelligence assessments that provide deep insights into adversary systems enabling engineering research, experimentation, prototype development, acquisition, test and evaluation, and operational execution of cyber and electronic warfare solutions

  • Collaborate closely with USAF, USSF, and other sponsors, as well as senior leadership in the Intelligence, Acquisition, and Warfighting communities

  • Perform experimentation and validation of threat mitigation capabilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members

  • Communicate technical findings and project status to stakeholders through detailed reports and presentations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience

  • Proven experience in systems engineering, particularly in the context of defense and intelligence operations

  • Strong understanding of digital engineering and MBSE methodologies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders

  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Experience working with the United States Air Force (USAF) or United States Space Force (USSF)

  • Familiarity with intelligence assessments and threat analysis

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams

  • Knowledge of advanced threat mitigation techniques and technologies
