Must show significant experience building proposals for Federal Government/DoD customers. A career in Enterprise Solutions means triumphing as a big picture generalist with broad spectrum skills to leverage our deep technical domain specialists from across six capability areas – Applications & AI/ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Training, Advanced Wireless – to address our customers mission needs. You will be at the forefront of innovation and play a meaningful part in improving how agencies operate by applying our Digital Accelerators, that are part of a multi-year corporate wide IRAD initiative centered around practical solutions for Digital Modernization. Our work in the Defense CTO organization helps protect national interests by driving mission aligned solution strategies during early customer engagement and delivering technical solutions that address complex problem statements for our most strategic opportunities.

HOW AN ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Provide early customer engagement support to understand customer requirements, determine technical solution priorities, pain points, vet solution alternatives and shape the acquisition.

  • Influence technical requirements; coordinate/develop technical white papers; support customer calls; develop RFI/SSN responses.

  • Analyze RFP requirements, instructions, evaluation criteria and develop responsive, innovative solutions including staffing and other costs; review solutions developed by others; present solutions to internal and external clients.

  • Review iterative solution approaches with the leadership team and subject matter experts; conduct iterative solution health assessments and include the voice of the solution in Gate reviews (Strategy, Bid, etc).

  • Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and propose changes and tailoring where needed to ensure that GDIT proposed efficient and effective solutions that meet customer objectives.

  • Make decisions regarding staff assignments, follow up with individual solution architects and solution experts who develop solutions and manage execution of a small to medium sized team of employees.

  • Provide expert guidance, coaching, mentorship and leadership to less-experienced colleagues.

  • May serve as a task or project leader. (Not a people manager)

  • Lead multiple technical SMEs to develop a winning overall solution approach and contribute individual expertise in one or more of the following technology domains - Cloud, Cybersecurity, Software or Enterprise IT

  • Participate as a member of the Defense CTO Team:

  • Improve and collaborate with our capability teams in the continuous development of GDIT offerings that provide differentiated solutions that solve our customer problems.

  • Participate in the curation of our mature knowledge base of tools, techniques and processes that inform how we deliver work.

  • Join and actively participate in work “on our business” to improve the way we work.

PURSUIT/CAPTURE LEADERSHIP:

  • Bring together domain experts (e.g., Service Areas, Capability Area SMEs, supporting solution leads), Alliance Managers, and Leveraged Services to help brainstorm, design and develop the voice of our solution.

  • Lead technical solution strategy throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from early Qualification through Proposal submission.

  • Contribute to GDIT win strategies and lead the development of technical win themes and solution readiness plans.

  • Develop artifacts needed to describe and present all solution elements throughout the capture process.

  • Develop cost/capabilities tradeoffs to inform pricing/solution strategies.

  • Engage current and prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results.

  • Identify and select the best technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements.

  • Lead solution design and the development of key artifacts including, but not limited to architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, staffing plans etc.

  • Develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/SSN responses to engage prospective customers and position GDIT to win.

  • Contribute to teaming strategies including identifying and vetting potential partners.

  • Ensure alignment with win strategy and PTW and document assumptions.

  • Ensure proposed solution is consistent with customer architectural direction and satisfies requirements, compliance and evaluation criteria, and PTW.

PROPOSAL LEADERSHIP:

  • Lead the entire solution team in development/delivery of an exceptional proposal and all deliverable artifacts:

  • Lead the design of the technical, management and transition story, and artifacts needed to best sell the solution through our proposal.

  • Identify the need for and lead domain experts and authors in the development of our technical, management and transition response.

  • Manage delivery of the Technical, Management and Transition Volumes through all color review stages (including recovery).

  • Identify where essential personnel/roles are needed to meet solicitation requirements and differentiate.

  • Identify labor categories and develop labor category descriptions for technical and management positions.

  • Lead development of and review needed project schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, and Risk & Quality Management plans.
