ICF Information Support Specialist - REMOTE in Fairfax, Virginia

Description

ICF seeks an Information Support Specialist to support the Child Welfare Information Gateway project. The Information Support Specialist works within the Information Support Services (ISS) Team which is responsible for connecting child welfare and related professionals, concerned citizens and the public to comprehensive information and resources related to child and family well-being, child welfare, and related topics.

The Information Support Specialist will employ advanced internet and database searches, provide referrals, links to State contacts and departments, and respond to requests received via email, telephone, Live Chat, the Gateway website, and White House Controlled Correspondence, leveraging Gateway-published and other partners’ publications, information about programs, statistics, legislation, research, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employ advanced internet and database searches.

  • Use various platforms to manage inquiry workflow, monitor trends and data, and enhance ISS visibility.

  • Provide timely, thorough, and accurate response to Live Chat, written, telephoned, and emailed requests for information about resources, publications, programs, statistics, legislation, and research related to child welfare issues.

  • Participate in Gateway’s modernization activities as needed.

  • Provide support to other staff on special projects to include, but not limited to, information gathering, assistance on content related materials and other long-term assignments.

  • Participates in other Information Gateway committees and meetings as needed.

  • Assist the White House Responder and Lead Information Support Responders by drafting and producing correspondence for White House Controlled Correspondence.

  • Support the State Contacts and National Foster Care and Adoption Directory project with the maintenance and periodic update of our databases.

  • Ensure presence during standard work hours (Monday thru Friday, (9:00- 5:00).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field with 2 years relevant experience

Professional Skills/Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field

  • Prior experience working in a consulting, client-facing environment

  • Prior experience as a Federal government contractor

  • A combination of formal education, work experience, and/or lived experience with the child welfare/foster care system will be considered.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Ability to develop reports and employ database or Internet searches required

  • Ability to regularly and effectively use Microsoft products, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$52,488.00 - $89,230.00
