WR Systems Senior Engineer/Scientist in Fairfax, Virginia
Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Travel Requirements : To corporate office and customer locations as project demands
Location: Fairfax, VA / Remote
SUMMARY : WR has an opportunity for a Senior Engineer/Scientist to research, develop and design back end signal processing for High Frequency (HF) systems, with specific focus on target geolocation.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
· Design of novel methods and algorithms for more effective HF radar processing.
· Coding, prototyping and testing of HF radar algorithms and methods.
· Liaison with professional coding teams for prototype transitions.
· Liaison with HF radar customers to understand needs and future pathways.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
· Masters of Science or engineering degree relating or incorporating signal processing, tracking, electrical/electronics technology, computer engineering, math, physics or related scientific discipline.
· Eight (8) + years of professional engineering design experience in one of the following areas:
o Radar coordinate registration, signal processing, tracking, radar science
· Experience with MATLAB, Python or C+
· Demonstrated experience supporting RF work
