Job Description:

GDIT has been supporting the IHS mission for 20+ years; working with the agency to provide integral services to raise health access and availability to 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. You'll be part of modernizing the EHR platform to enable better data access, patient experience, and quality of care for 567 tribes, 37 states and over 600 medical facilities.

Our work depends on a SharePoint Developer/Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist joining our team to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program. As a SharePoint Developer/KM Specialist supporting the IHS EHRM program, you will be responsible for supporting the PMO for contract management execution support.

This position is fully remote!

HOW A SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER/KM SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

SharePoint Development & Administration:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, workflows, and web parts.

  • Customize SharePoint solutions using SPFx, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Microsoft 365 tools. Custom solutions include workflows (Power Automate), applications (Power Apps), and dashboards (Power BI)

  • Manage SharePoint permissions, site collections, and content databases.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues.

  • Monitor and optimize SharePoint performance and usage.

  • Implement and maintain SharePoint governance policies.

  • Develops, documents, and implements standards, policies, and guidelines for the use of SharePoint

Knowledge Management:

  • Develop and implement knowledge management strategies and processes.

  • Create and manage metadata, taxonomies, and content types to enhance document discoverability.

  • Work with various teams to capture, organize, and disseminate knowledge assets.

  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and maintain knowledge repositories.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and information security standards.

  • Promote best practices for document management and collaboration.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Recommends improvements leveraging SharePoint technologies to solve day-to-day challenges.

  • Train and support end-users on SharePoint functionalities and KM practices.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for SharePoint processes and KM initiatives.

  • Work closely with IT, project management, and business units to align SharePoint and KM efforts with organizational goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting medium to large IT projects as a SharePoint Developer.

  • 5+ years of relevant knowledge management specialist experience.

  • Extensive understanding of SharePoint Online environment, Power Automate, and Power Apps.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

  • Training/education/experience in task coordination; functional knowledge of IT project management concepts and tools.

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience supporting federal contract program manager.

  • Task management experience and/or skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage frequently changing priorities of competing importance.

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with internal/external teams including key stakeholders and customers.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines, following detailed written policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our program.

The likely salary range for this position is $95,200 - $128,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
