CGI Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain server hardware and software

• Install/upgrade hardware components into servers

• Monitor server performance and optimize server resources

• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues in a timely manner

• Implement and maintain server security measures, including firewalls and user access controls

• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure server integration and compatibility

• Document and maintain server configurations, procedures and troubleshooting guides

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users

• Stay up to date with the latest server technologies and industry trends

• Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of systems and virtual infrastructure

• Actively monitor ticketing systems and email for new support inquiries and requests. Respond to issues in a timely manner, communicate necessary information to relevant support teams and impacted staff and document resolution

• Strong data gathering and reporting skills to support ad-hoc data requests

• Possesses the knowledge and experience in troubleshooting production systems issues and act as an escalation point for other members

• Provide on-call support on a rotational basis and as required when issues arise

• Provide monthly maintenance to servers on a rotational basis as required

• Assist in the automation of currently manual repetitive tasks

• Complies with and enforces standard company policies and procedures

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance

• 3-5 years of experience supporting and maintaining IT products, services, and solutions

• Extensive experience in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory based enterprise environment

• Experience in a MS O365 environment

• Experience in a largely virtualized environment

• Familiarity with server hardware components and configuration

• Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts

• Familiarity with server monitoring tools

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Working admirative knowledge of several core Microsoft applications (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SharePoint)

• Experience with PowerShell scripting in a production environment

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Experience with compliance standards and security best practices (ITILv3, NIST guidelines, CIS benchmarks, DISA STIGs, etc.) is a plus but not required

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300.00 - $185,800.00.
