Actalent QA Regulatory Associate, Food Manufacturing in Fairfield, New Jersey

Job Title: Quality AssociateJob Description

Assist with product specification, nutritional data, uploading documents into customer online databases, and managing customer document requests.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the specification application as part of the product lifecycle management system.

  • Manage the specification preparation, update, revision, and posting process, including roles, responsibilities, review, input, approval, notification, and posting.

  • Manage the creation and maintenance of raw material specifications.

  • Ensure document content, format, and organization accurately address customer, regulatory, and quality requirements.

  • Serve as the key resource in the preparation and management of technical documents and respond to customer inquiries and requests for technical information.

  • Prepare ingredient declarations, nutrition facts labeling, and product claims reviews as assigned.

  • Assist with customer portal uploads.

  • Establish priorities and workload to achieve on-time completion of deliverables.

  • Gather all required documentation from suppliers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related science field.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant food industry experience.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally.

  • Highly organized with the ability to plan and prioritize work effectively.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment

The Quality Associate will primarily work at a desk in the lab, focusing on computer tasks and documentation/paperwork. Occasional visits to the plant may be required. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $30.25
