Omega TMM Janitor in Fairport, New York
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB. Maintain the cleanliness of building and grounds. Perform general repairs and upkeep of plant. Remove refuse and recyclable material.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Cleans; restrooms and fixtures, windows, drinking fountains, tables, and floors2. Removes cardboard to recycling bin3. Removes trash4. Loads reusable setup for salvage and stores bins5. Removes snow from sidewalk and entrance ways6. Operate forklift & snow blower7. Supplies toilet paper, towels and soap where needed.8. Pick up debris from plant grounds and parking lot9. Empty 55 gallon wet/dry vacuums10. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products11. Replace light bulbs when necessary12. Supplies clean mops, buckets and mop water for all departments.13. Operates, maintains and cleans shop floor scrubber and carpet cleaner 14. Cleans shop floor and keeps floor free of liquid spills15. Paint: Walls, railings, floors and doors when necessary16. Vacuum and steam clean carpets 17. Strip, wax and buff floors, put up “wet floor” signs.18. Wear safety glasses, ear plugs and safety shoes.19. Follow all OSHA, EPA and Parlec regulations.
