Located in the Farmers Branch, Texas area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This position will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
How you will make an impact
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation Requirements - Demonstrated knowledge of Excel Formulas
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Pivot Table experience
Adeptness in VLOOKUP
SAP experience preferred
Daily Cash Flow experience
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
