Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Technical Superintendent to join our team! In this role, you will get to provide technical guidance as a subject matter expert on the water treatment activities at the Faro Mine Remediation project.

This position requires you to travel to site on a 2 week on/2 week off rotation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

We are looking for applicants with experience overseeing northern active construction or remediation projects. We require an individual technically familiar with water treatment and maintenance operations. The successful candidate will provide technical guidance to the operations and maintenance groups for the water treatment plant at unique northern abandoned mine sites. They will support compliance testing for the water distribution system through technical decision making and the efficient use of equipment, personnel, and budget.

  • Ensure that all pumping and conveyance systems for contact water collection systems and water treatment plants are optimized and maintain compliance requirements, including water quality monitoring and treatment process & control.

  • Provide indirect supervision, mentoring and training of water treatment plant operators and maintenance team workers.

  • Responsible for the generation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Support the continuity of the maintenance and operations teams through the scheduling of work activities in our CMMS - Maintenance Connection.

  • Responsible for building a training program to align with the current processes and the future Permanent Water Treatment Plant.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years cumulative demonstrated work experience related to the water treatment field in a senior role or progressively more senior roles across.

  • 3+ years in the last ten years demonstrating experience as a team lead or trainer.

  • Completion of a diploma or degree in Civil/Process/Mining/Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

  • EOCP Wastewater Treatment Level 1 and Water Treatment Level 2 certification.

  • Demonstrated experience with oxidation systems.

  • Experience with the Maintenance Connection CMMS.

  • Preventative maintenance program development experience, including water process systems, sludge systems and SCADA systems.

  • Experience with standard work practice or SOP development, including training and competency sign off.

  • Ability to interpret and analyze data.

  • Ability to create isolation packages from single line diagrams and P&IDs.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with training junior team members.

  • Ability to produce accurate and timely annual and monthly reports.

  • Skills communicating with regulatory authorities, the client, and other stakeholders.

  • Front Line Supervisor training.
