Reaching HOPE Mental Health Co-Responder Clinician in Federal Heights, Colorado

Co-Responder Therapist - Federal Heights/Brighton, Colorado LPC/LCSW/LMFT/LP Required 2 20 Hour Part-Time Week Positions Position 1: 1 Day at Federal Heights, 1 day at Brighton, CO, US Position 2: 2 Days at Federal heights Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 Annually (based on Education + Experience)

The Co-Responder Therapist position at Reaching HOPE is a collaborative position with the Federal Heights and Brighton Police Departments and has been approved by the respective City Councils. The goal of the Co-Responder position is social justice focused and aims to build bridges within the community, to promote mental health services, reduce use of force, and divert at-risk community members from the criminal justice system by providing stabilization within the community or through other care options. As a Co-Responder, you will work in collaboration with the Federal Heights and Brighton Co-Responder teams that includes working directly with other clinicians and Case Managers. Alongside law enforcement, the Co-Responder will work to support residents by providing wrap-around mental health services that include completing crisis or emergency assessments, preparing safety plans, identifying protective factors, conducting mental status exams, evaluating level of functioning, coordinating psychiatric interventions, and providing supervision, instruction and coaching.

Job Descriptions We are currently looking to hire TWO part time clinicians. One clinician will work exclusively at Federal Heights Police Department (2 10 hour days), while the other clinician will spend one 10 hour shift at Federal Heights and one 10 hour shift at Brighton Police Department. The Federal Heights Co-Responder Program is new, and the clinicians will assist with building out this new program. The Brighton Co-Responder Program has been up and running for under 1 year, and this position is an expansion of the existing program.

Federal Heights Position: This position is a part time, 20 hour position that will work Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30am-6:30pm and will focus on Co-Responder services within Federal Heights. A car is available for use during the shift for this position. Federal Heights/Brighton Position: This position is a part time, 20 hour position that will work Monday at Brighton Police Department, and Tuesday at Federal Heights Police Department from 8:30am-6:30pm. A car is not currently available for shifts within the Brighton Police Department.

Over the first year, in addition to crisis response, these Co-Responder Therapists will assist with data collection to determine highest need times, and the schedule may shift accordingly. This position will be included in any decisions made about changing schedules. This position will have access to an on-call supervisor during all working hours. This role will include primarily driving separately to locations across Federal Heights and/or Brighton, though at times may include riding along with law enforcement. Law enforcement will ensure the safety of the area prior to the Co-Responder engaging in contact with residents. This position will also involve connecting with local resources and community centers in order to ensure that the community is aware of this service and familiar with the Co-Responder team. This position will assist with building out this program within Federal Heights and /or Brighton. The Brighton Co-Responder Program began in November 2024, and currently includes 2 clinicians and a Case Manager, with this position adding an additional Clinician. The Federal Heights Co-Responder Program is new and will include the current posting for 2 clinicians and one part time Case Manager. These 2 teams will work together and will meet at the beginning and end of each shift to connect and provide consultation and support. Each Clinician receives weekly individual supervision.
