Kennedy Jenks is growing and hiring an Engineering Technician in our Facilities Engineering Group in Federal Way, WA. Key Responsibilities: Work on challenging projects in the mining and metals, aerospace, pulp and paper mill, food and beverage, and manufacturing industries. Work in a collegial and supportive multi-disciplined team-based environment on projects from initial planning stages through design construction, and startup operations. Responsible for the delivery of industrial engineering design and construction. Industrial engineering design, chemical and process calculations, bench and pilot testing, and providing engineering services during construction of projects. Work closely with and under the guidance of Professional Engineers on project assignments. Requirements High school diploma required. 0 - 2 years of engineering experience in planning, engineering, design, construction and commissioning (multiple opportunities at various levels of experience). Project development oversight and project management, including scope, schedule, fee preparation, negotiation, project staffing, and coordination of activities related to planning, design, and construction. Travel to client and project sites for client visits/meetings and other travel to other Kennedy Jenks offices will be necessary. Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) and design in similar applications (BlueBeam) is preferred. Ability to travel as needed. Valid U.S. driver's license. Ability to work independently and in team environments. Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
