Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper - Hybrid in Fife, Washington


The strongest candidates for this Full Charge Bookkeeper position will have a background in accounting, and be interested in taking on a challenging role with opportunity for advancement. If you're looking for work as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you might be the candidate Robert Half is looking for to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. This position will require excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. This long-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Fife, Washington. Candidate's are required to go in office at least twice per month


  • Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

  • Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules

  • Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections

  • Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing

  • Maintaining historical records by filing documents

  • Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner

  • Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

    Requirements - Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment

    • Proficiency with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree
  • Payroll experience preferred

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • General familiarity with Credit Card Reconciliation

  • Practical knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation

  • Adeptness in Full Charge Bookkeeping

  • Experience with full charge bookkeeping

  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

  • Data entry experience

  • Proficiency in general ledger

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial collections

  • Month end closings experience highly preferred

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping

  • Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

  • Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
