W. G. Tomko Inc Sheet Metal Production Worker in Finleyville, Pennsylvania
Reports to: Sheet Metal Shop Manager Department: Metal Fabrication
Position Summary: W. G. Tomko is a leading regional mechanical contractor, who is looking to fill several Sheet Metal Production Worker positions. Excellent benefits are offered, in addition to competitive salaries, based on experience. Candidates would be expected to perform a variety of operations within a high volume, production/manufacturing type environment. We are willing to train the right candidates.
Essential Functions:
- Forming, cutting and bending of metal to form fabricated units correctly
- Welding and insulating assemblies safely and efficiently.
- Additional production and warehouse duties as required in the production process
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and general shop processes
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to MIG weld
- Experience with sheet metal shearing is a plus
- Knowledge of Press Brake is a plus
- Must have up to date certificates
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to read blue prints and tape measure
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment: This position works in a typical warehouse environment. Pleasant and safe working atmosphere and conditions, which at times may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Physical Effort: Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and push/pull 150 lbs. Standing for long periods, bending and kneeling daily.
Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Forty hours per week/10 hours per day/Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 4:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
