What You'll Do

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and care of the company's physical facilities, as well as any repairs or improvements to the facilities. Specifically by performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment and grounds. Utilizes multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and roofing, HVAC, and other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is the primary point of contact for snow/ice removal, alarm services, disposal services, and the like.

  • Develop, maintain and implement an appropriate preventive maintenance schedule for all company facilities and the equipment associated with them.

  • Develop, maintain and implement a regular cleaning schedule designed to keep company facilities neat, professional and safe.

  • Develop, maintain and implement an appropriate schedule for monitoring and servicing all assigned safety equipment.

  • Plan, perform and/or supervise maintenance and repair work appropriate for in-house completion.

  • Plan, perform and/or supervise construction and remodeling projects appropriate for in-house completion.

  • Source, evaluate and engage subcontractors for appropriate maintenance, construction, and repair work as needed.

  • Perform or direct snow and ice removal operations as needed, ensuring timely completion prior to business operations, when possible.

  • Oversee and coordinate all disposal operations, including solid waste, recyclable materials, and hazardous waste.

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of security systems, alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and other monitoring systems.

  • Supervise assigned personnel, including directing work assignments and providing performance reviews.
