Summary: Responsible for operating Little America Gift Shop through management of day-to-day operations and fulfillment of buying/purchasing responsibilities by performing the following duties.\ Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.\ Administrative:\ \ Manages stores in accordance with set business plans\ \ Bi-weekly payroll and Kronos management\ \ Works with hospitality marketing on any marketing or promotional initiatives\ \ Works within the HUB to manage all direct employee tasks\ Buy Strategy:\ \ Executes inventory buy against store direction of product lines & categories with support of General Manager and Retail Advisor.\ \ Manages open to buy budget to stay within established inventory thresholds\ \ Processes all incoming orders and works with vendors to ensure accurate receipt of goods and timely payments with vendors. Acts as liaison between vendor and accounting as needed.\ \ Receives all product into the store based on established markups and ensures accuracy of pricing\ \ Recommends markdowns as needed to General Manager\ \ Attends approved buying shows annually\ Communication:\ \ Meets with General Manager on established meeting cadence\ \ Regular retail planning meetings with Retail Advisor\ \ Attends daily standups/huddles\ \ Holds a monthly all sales staff meeting\ \ Attends other company-wide meetings as recommended (HR, IT etc.)\ \ Communicates and follows thru with Companys Mission Statement and Retail Goals\ Floor of the Store and Stock Room:\ \ Assign duties to workers and schedule break periods, work hours, and time off.\ \ Trains workers on store policies, company procedures, and job duties.\ \ Orders supplies and equipment as needed\ \ Responsible for maintaining the store appearance by managing any maintenance issues, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, lighting, etc.\ \ Provides excellent customer service and sets expectations and provides training for employees to do the same.\ \ Assists sales employees in completing difficult sales.\ \ Sells merchandise.\ \ Plans department layout and merchandises floor and displays daily and weekly\ Management:\ \ Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures\ \ Ensures safe practices in all aspects of the stores.\ \ Plans in store events as needed\ \ Manages and trains the staff in all aspects of the sales job and performance manages as needed
