Hunterdon Health Care System Patient Service Representative in Flemington, New Jersey

Position Summary

Provides clerical support and assistance to ensure that the business of the department is completed in the most effective, efficient, timely, accurate and customer friendly manner.

Primary Position Responsibilities

1.

Greets and checks in patients for scheduled appointments.

2.

Checks out patients and schedules future appointments.

3.

Prepares documents for future appointments.

4.

Scans paperwork into appropriate folders in Next Gen/Affinity.

5.

Reviews/Verifies demographics and insurance for all patients.

6.

Answers telephones, returns phone calls to patients, and creates tasks in Next Gen as needed.

7.

Provides clerical support to APN’s/Physician’s & HBH staff, as needed.

Work Contact Group (Internal/External)

Psychiatry staff, HBH staff, HMC departments, community residents, community agencies, and State employees.

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum of two years experience in an office environment.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required:

Electronic Billing and Data collection systems.

Preferred:

Familiar with Affinity and working knowledge of Next Gen EMR.
