RN Float - Premium Program
- Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Facilitate and Coordinate Total Patient Care
Documentation of Care
Maintain Professional Development
Education of patient and family
Maintain Patient Safety

Reports to (position):
Administrative Director Medical Surgical Nursing
Patient Care Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Nurse Intern, Unit Coordinator, Patient Safety Assistant
All hires are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or be currently enrolled in a BSN program.
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
- 3 or more years acute care experience
In-patient Float requires med surg experience
Procedure Float requires telemetry experience
Specialty training for critical care.
License, Registry or Certification:
Current NJ RN licensure, American Heart Association CPR certification, ACLS and PALS CPI training is required and must be renewed annually. Must obtain Crisis Prevention (CPI) certification within 6 months of hire. HMC will provide the CPI course.
