Job Summary: NEG is an established environmental firm that specializes in Asbestos Abatement and Environmental Decommissioning. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Superintendent to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing facilities and coal fired power plant abatement / decommissioning projects. We are seeking a self-starting, detail-oriented supervisor, who realizes that safety is an overriding priority.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the day to day operations on project site, provide direction, oversight and support to the crew to ensure project is executed per specifications and regulations
Manage the project budget, planning and scheduling to avoid scope creep
Determine and enforce the needed precautions, procedures and PPE in accordance with industry regulations and standards
Evaluate safety hazards on the jobs, lead daily safety talks and reviews
Prepare and submit daily job reports and time tickets as directed by Sr. Operations Manager and/or customer
Act as a customer/client liaison
Participate in bid walks with NEG Estimator and customer Reps
Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and coal fired power plant abatement / decommissioning projects
5 + years experience supervising / managing abatement projects
5 + years previous work experience in abatement projects
5 + years knowledge of relevant rules, regulations & standards
PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset
Excellent time management ability
Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including customer relation skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite
