Volt Management Corp. Field Service Engineer- Controls in Florence, Kentucky
VOLT is partnering with a world leading manufacturer of machinery and systems for the production of plastics and rubber. This position will work with the automated robotic systems (Kuka, Motoman, Fanuc).

Volt is immediately hiring for a Field Service Technician (Robotics- Kuka, Motoman, Fanuc) in the Midwest or Southeast USA along the I-75 corridor from Detroit to Marietta, GA.
If you have a maintenance background with robotics and automated systems, then this position is for you!
Location: Midwest states or Carolinas is preferred. Air travel will be your mode of transportation to most customer sites for work.
In this position you will:
- Complete troubleshooting, repairs, installations, retrofits and upgrade performance to customer equipment
- Work with Kuka robots, Motoman and/or Fanuc robots in connection to injection mold machinery
- Efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and rectify all problem areas on production equipment and related systems
- Travel to client locations
Working hours: Monday through Friday, with paid overtime as necessary to complete required tasks
Travel: You will be issued a company truck or rental for the travel to and from customers' sites if necessary. Other times will require air travel and head to the airport and get a rental car upon arrival Some weeks are leave Monday morning and return Friday evening. Paid travel time.

Preferred Education and Experience
- Required: extensive experience working with Kuka robots, Motoman and/or Fanuc robots (Industrial Robot experience)
- (Fanuc/KUKA/Motoman/ABB/Linear robots): image reload, IO mapping, job creation and modification, software update, interfacing with external systems
- PLC experience (Siemens HMI [TIA V## or Step7] or AB):
- Programming: Ladder diagram, Structured text, Instruction list, modules
- Components: IO modules, safety circuits, drives, vision systems, HMIs
- Networks: Ethernet IP, ProfiNET, Profibus
- Associates Degree in Technical field preferred and 3+ years of related experience in the robotics field, preferably as a Field Service Engineer or Technician, or combination of education and experience
- Preferred exp: Understanding of injection mold machinery processes
- Strong Mechanical / Electrical aptitude
- Solid technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Pay: $39-45 hourly rate
