As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you’ll help us solve challenges and succeed as you grow and understand the unique needs of our clients and tailor easy-to-use solutions to deliver the performance they need. With a position in Sales & Marketing, you’ll strengthen our relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, and think outside the box to unlock new possibilities.

Position Overview:

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving franchise sales and expanding our franchise network. This role involves identifying prospective franchisors, providing them with comprehensive information about our franchise partnership opportunities, subsequently bringing those franchisors into our preferred provider network, and guiding franchisees through the entire sales process. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Franchisor Lead Generation:

  • Identify and research potential franchisors through various channels, including online research, networking events, trade shows, and referrals.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through self-generation and field marketing.

  • Bring new Franchise Brands onto our Franchise agreement

  • Sales Presentations and Consultations:

  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective franchisees to understand their needs, goals, and company objectives.

  • Present the benefits of partnering with Paylocity as a franchisee which would include our full scope of solutions and integrations.

Sales Process Management:

  • Guide prospective franchisees through the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to franchise agreement signing.

  • Coordinate and conduct discovery calls and site visits as needed.

  • Meet or exceed assigned quota for franchise generated business within assigned area of responsibility

Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective franchisors and franchisees alike, providing ongoing support and follow-up throughout the sales process.

  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure a smooth transition for new franchisees.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Research and develop tactics for attracting highly qualified new franchise prospects

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales or business operations

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in franchise sales or a related industry.

  • High level of communication skill set including written and verbal communication

  • Ability to negotiate and influence in a business-to-business setting

  • Proficient with Salesforce.com, MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

  • Some travel required to meet with businesses or attend trade shows

The pay range for this position is $84,500 - $160,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for our variable commission plan, annual bonus, and restricted stock until grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
