Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is a 120 bed capacity behavioral health facility that provides psychiatric services. We specialize in treatment for adults, children and adolescents. Brentwood Behavioral offers both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services. Located in Flowood, MS, in Rankin County with close proximity to Hinds and Madison Counties, our outpatient services are within driving distance to many surrounding areas. Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and talented PRN Driver/Mental Health Technician - (Varied Shifts/Weekdays & Weekends) (7 Day Program).

Driver/MHT provides patient transportation to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times.

  • Pickup and drop off of patients attending group activities, transporting patients discharging from the hospital, occasional local program activities

  • Participation in the therapeutic relationship with patients as required.

  • Has a working knowledge of the service area and the most efficient routes needed to provide service.

  • Monitors maintenance requirements of vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

    Qualifications

    Preferred: Previous experience in a behavioral healthcare facility

    Must have a valid driver’s license

    Be at least 21 years of age

    Cannot have any of the following driving offenses within the last 36 months:

    • been convicted of an alcohol/drug-related offense while driving

    • had driver’s license suspended/ revoked

    • convicted of two or more speeding violations

    • one or more other serious violations and/or been involved in one chargeable accident
