Research Foundation of the City University of New York Environmental Scientist in Flushing, New York

Coordinate laboratory and field work activities of real-time pollution monitoring networks targeting primarily fine particulate matter and gaseous pollutants in New York City. Participate in design and implementation of noise studies. Assist in determination of data collection methods for research projects, investigations, and surveys. Prepare technical reports and presentations of research approaches and findings. Execute design plans for pollution monitoring platforms through CAD and 3D modelling software. Develop, document, test, and manufacture air monitoring sampling platforms. Collect, synthesize, and analyze large datasets.Requirements: Master’s degree in environmental science, environmental health sciences, environmental engineering, atmospheric science, exposure science, or closely related field. One year experience as Environmental Scientist, Environmental Engineer, Graduate Research Assistant, Exposure Scientist, or closely related. Experience in ambient and indoor air monitoring, including exposure assessment. Experience or education in data science and regression analysis for analyzing large volumes of environmental data; R programming language; and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
