Physician Assistant- Cardiology
Location: Queens, NY
FlexStaff is working with leading hospitals in Queens, NY to directly hire Physician Assistants for their esteemed Cardiology Departments. This is an exceptional opportunity for career growth and professional development.
The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care for cardiology patients. You will perform a variety of essential functions, including patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and outcome evaluation. The ideal candidate will also actively participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to ongoing research projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed patient assessments and obtain medical histories.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiology conditions.
Perform technical procedures necessary for patient care.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement treatment plans.
Provide patient education and counseling to ensure understanding of diagnoses and treatments.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Interprets laboratory and test results.
Upon discharge, notes discharge summaries, prescriptions and any referrals of patient charts.
Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, required.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current NY State Physician Assistant license
Certification by the NCCPA (National Commission on certification of Physician Assistants).
Cardiology experience preferred.
Current BLS certification
Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 -$180,000 per year.
