CITY OF FOND DU LAC Clerk Cashier in FOND DU LAC, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City Payments office collects all monies due to the City of Fond du Lac. These monies include personal property taxes, water utility payments, parking ticket violations, and various other payments. City Payments also issues pet and bicycle licenses, city parking lot permits, and seasonal boat launch stickers. This position reports directly to the City Clerk and the successful candidate will perform functions in the Central Services office related to receiving and disbursing money, and providing information to the general public regarding personal property taxes, city parking lot regulations and policy on purchasing permits for same, and dog and cat licensing regulations and related fee schedules; and reserve Park facilities. Working knowledge of the laws pertaining to checks, drafts, and endorsements; experience in cash handling, modern office methods and procedures, imaging, fundamentals of bookkeeping, and legal descriptions and documents are preferred. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications and/or knowledge and willingness to learn of the following include: Laws pertaining to checks, drafts, and endorsements. Cash handling, imaging, bookkeeping, and legal descriptions and documents. Exhibit the mission, values and exceptional service standards of the City of Fond du Lac in daily activities, and perform job functions in accordance with policies. Desirable Training and Experience: Strong ability to function in a fast-paced dynamic work environment. Meet deadlines and work under critical and stressful situations. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and be able to work effectively with employees and citizens.
